The Annie Ray Henry Tuition Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of the mother of Rev. Dr. Selina D. Carter, SOE Founder, and Executive Director. Annie Ray had an 8th-grade education. She had a heart and compassion to see her children, family, and others meet their full potential. Through her many challenges, Annie Ray had the tenacity to persevere beyond barriers in her life. Her life was one that exemplifies the resilience, power, and fortitude we hope our scholarship recipients aspire to embody.
